Labor day weekend was the escape I needed from my first two weeks of college classes. I love my school and surprisingly while I was away this weekend, I couldn't wait to come back to what I consider my home away from home.
This road trip down to the east coast wouldn't have been the trip it was, without three of my great friends by my side. Im driving the honda now because Jeffrey the jeep is getting all fixed up for our second semester adventures. So you can imagine, 4 girls, bags, their dirty laundry, and school work packed in the trunk of a car.
Sophie, Simms, Lizzie and I embarked on this 400 mile journey with pandora playing, lots of caffeine, and some awesome conversations.
We stayed Friday night with friends at East Carolina, and coming from such a small school to seeing people everywhere on the street at ECU, it was a little overwhelming.
but our excitement getting there was unforgettable
Saturday morning, I made my way to Robersonville to spend the weekend with my cousin Christine, her husband Hunter, and their sweet little boy Harrison. The amount of joy this little boy brings me is insane. I walk through the door and he is there smiling with his little heart shaped birthmark on his cheek.
(precious can't you tell?!?)
Two and a half days with Harrison was not enough but I had to get back to the Whee. I loaded up the car this morning and headed to pick up my friends. That 7 hour drive back was as fun as the ride down east, but lets just say I am thankful to be home safe.
Simms kept me awake the car ride back with random selfies, music, and laughing till I was ACTUALLY in tears
I am now sitting in the study with a bunch of people preparing to tackle some projects for my intro to communication disorders class due in November. I get to participate in volunteering with organizations that involve speech. I can't wait. I plan to work in an assisted living home in Sylva.
I can't for this four day week and the list of activities for this weekend!
